You will need to come to the meeting point in the Khaosan Road area of Bangkok before 8.00am where you’ll be taken to the Grand Palace and the famous Emerald Buddha Temple. On our shared tours (below) you will travel with mixed group in an air conditioned minibus. These tours are great value and also a great way to meet other people. There are lots of different attractions and activities to choose from and the tours operate every day.
With all these tours you will be a picked up from your Bangkok hotel on the morning of the tour and you will return to the Khaosan road area of Bangkok at the times indicated below.
There is no actual tour guide on these tours, but everything is pretty self-explanatory and the driver will advise you on how long you can stay at each location depending on the tour you have chosen.

Pickup from hotels near the Khaosan Road area and central Bangkok is included in these shared group tours, however some hotel locations will require an extra surcharge for the pickup service and this will depend on the actual location of your Bangkok hotel.

FARM HOUSE COOKING LESSON

KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK IN PICTURES

TOUR OVERVIEW:

You will be collected from your hotel in Bangkok at 6.30am and taken by minibus to the stunning Khao Yai National Park (approx 2 hours from Bangkok). You’ll stop on route at a local morning market to stretch your legs and pick up some local ingredients for the Thai-food you will cook later in the day.

You will visit a local farm (Baan Kwian) where you will ride a traditional Ox Cart through the paddy fields that surround the farm before heading to the farm house to prepare and eat your Thai-style lunch.

After lunch you’ll continue on to Khao Yai National Park where you’ll do some light trekking through the jungle and up the 200 steps to the viewing platform beside the picturesque Haew Narok Waterfall.

After a short drive you’ll arrive at the Jungle House Hotel where you’ll meet the friendly elephants who’ll take you for a ride through the jungle feeding them bananas as you go.

Once you’ve finished your elephant trekking it’s back on the minibus for the return to Bangkok. You should be back at your hotel by around 7pm.

Thai lunch is served before you head to Hellfire Pass where you will visit the local museum and take a walk down the Konyu Cutting observing the memorials to those who lost their lives here. After that it’s back to Kanchanaburi to visit the Bridge on the River Kwai before returning to Bangkok. You will return to the Khaosan area of Bangkok around 19.30pm, depending on the traffic.
