FARM HOUSE COOKING LESSON

KHAO YAI NATIONAL PARK IN PICTURES

TOUR OVERVIEW:

You will be collected from your hotel in Bangkok at 6.30am and taken by minibus to the stunning Khao Yai National Park (approx 2 hours from Bangkok). You’ll stop on route at a local morning market to stretch your legs and pick up some local ingredients for the Thai-food you will cook later in the day.

You will visit a local farm (Baan Kwian) where you will ride a traditional Ox Cart through the paddy fields that surround the farm before heading to the farm house to prepare and eat your Thai-style lunch.

After lunch you’ll continue on to Khao Yai National Park where you’ll do some light trekking through the jungle and up the 200 steps to the viewing platform beside the picturesque Haew Narok Waterfall.

After a short drive you’ll arrive at the Jungle House Hotel where you’ll meet the friendly elephants who’ll take you for a ride through the jungle feeding them bananas as you go.

Once you’ve finished your elephant trekking it’s back on the minibus for the return to Bangkok. You should be back at your hotel by around 7pm.

You will be collected from your hotel in Bangkok between 6.15am - 7am and taken by minibus to the Floating Market. You will then take a longtail
boat to the edge of the Floating Market where you will ride a
paddleboat (extra fee applies) through the market and walk around observing the sale and exchange of goods between parties that has been traditionally taking place for years. You will then visit the famous Umbrella Market on the train tracks and watch as the stall holders quickly pack away their goods as the train approaches. You will return to Bangkok (Khaosan road area) by 2pm.

You will be collected from our meeting point (near Khaosan Road) and depart for Talad Rom Hoop at around 12.50pm - 13:00pm.

Talad Rom Hoop is a market that sells decorative umbrellas and it sits on an active railway track, watch as the stall holders quickly scramble to move their goods off the tracks every time a train rolls in! After some time at this unique market you’ll head to Amphawa, a traditional Floating Market where you can observe the sale and exchange of goods that has been going on here for centuries. As darkness falls you’ll take a boat ride out onto the waterways around the market to see the local fireflies as they shimmer and sparkle hypnotically and fill the trees that line the waters edge. You will return to Khaosan Road area at around 21:00pm.
